Everything starts at layer zero.

In 3D printing, the first layer decides everything. If it doesn't stick, nothing above it matters. Every print that has ever worked began with one flat, patient line of plastic laid down at height zero.

But the first layer is only the visible beginning. Long before the nozzle moves, there is the part nobody sees: the CAD model, the measurement taken twice, the tolerance argued over, the decision about what loads the part will carry and what it has to survive. Get those right and the print is easy. Get them wrong and no amount of plastic can save it.

That is the name. LayerZero is the work that comes before layer one: the thinking, the drawing, the checking. We call it layer zero because it matters even more than the first layer does.
